A superbly crystallized grouping of silvery metallic lustrous acanthite crystals measuring to 1.0 cm in size, these forming a sort of "stem" and measuring 3.3 x 1.6 x 1.4 cm in size overall. A superbly crystallized "toe-nail" specimen for this species from Morocco! The specimen consists of lustrous metallic silver spiky terminated crystals of acanthite to 10 mm in length coming aesthetically off of matrix. Shows nicely all around. A superbly crystallized grouping of non-lustrous sharply formed octahedral crystals of acanthite measuring 3.6 x 2.7 x 1.7 cm in size overall. A neat locality specimen for this silver-bearing species consisting of a 4.7 x 2.8 x 1.6 cm calcite crystal coated matrix, this scattered with lustrous metallic crystals of acanthite to 0.35 cm in size. Superb black well formed crystals of acanthite to 6 mm in size are set nicely upon a matrix of black crystallized polybasite. The polybasite is in the form of thin pseudohexagonal platy crystals to 5 mm. This shows well all around and is damage-free. Excellent for the species! Size: 2.1 x 1.8 x 4.1 cm. An outstanding crystallized matrix specimen for this species! A 7.7 x 7.6 x 6.9 cm matrix is hosting extremely bright and lustrous well crystallized acanthite forming a grouping measuring 3.6 x 3.1 x 1.3 cm in size. The acanthite crystals are set on a druse of micro crystalline colorless quartz. No damage. The specimen has been either repaired or stabalized; I cannot tell which but there is a tiny amount of glue visible under the microscope in some areas between the crystals and the matrix. You cannot see this with the naked eye. Sits perfectly for display - an outstanding matrix example for this species! Ex Peter Gillis collection. Rounded nodular crystallized acanthite is completely covering matrix. Minor crystalline native silver is sparsely scattered throughout the acanthite.
