A very fine large miniature/small cabinet piece consisting of a 7 x 6 x 5.3 cm white massive marble matrix, this hosting two red crystals or crystal groupings of spinel, the largest measuring 2 cm across. This is an outstanding small cabinet sized matrix specimen for spinel! From a recent find in Vietnam, this large flattened purplish-red lustrous opaque crystal measures 5.2 x 1.3 x 3 cm in size and sits up perfectly from a massive white calcite matrix. The overall size of the specimen is 5.9 x 9.3 x 4.5 cm . The specimen sits perfectly for display by itself. The crystal is in great shape overall, with only one tiny area of chipping present on the upper right corner, and this on the back side. I needed a loupe to detect this at first.
