Barite (repaired)
specimen number:
5003454
location:
Olloix, Puy-de-Dome, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France
description:
A large thick lustrous translucent amber colored crystal of barite with several smaller attached crystals of barite. An impressive large crystal for the species from this French locality. It is said that the specimen is repaired, I am assuming that the repair is reattaching the smaller crystal on the lower left front. It is difficult to tell. Overall in really good condition.
Size: 17.0 x 14.0 x 5.0 cm (large-cabinet)
